History of Tnuva

Tnuva was established in 1926 when moshavim and kibbutzim decided to coordinate and unify all stages of processing, producing and distributing fresh agricultural produce. The company was founded when the agricultural produce marketing division was detached from Hamashbir Hamerkazi, which served as the central cooperative for basic provisions belonging to the moshavim and kibbutzim. Initially, Tnuva distributed only fresh milk for drinking and later expanded to dairy products.

In the early 1930s, as it became more established, Tnuva began marketing additional fresh farm produce including eggs, poultry, vegetables and fruits. The company was formed as an agricultural cooperative of 620 farming communities across the country, who were also the company's suppliers of raw milk and produce. Over the decades, Tnuva evolved from a simple agricultural cooperative into Israel's dominant food manufacturer.

Today, Tnuva has been the leading food group in Israel since 1926 and is the largest kosher manufacturer worldwide, offering one of the broadest ranges of categories in the world for chilled and frozen products. The company has maintained its market dominance while expanding internationally, operating in over 30 countries and continuing to serve millions of people with dairy and food products daily.
