History of Maidenform

Maidenform was founded in 1922 by Ida Rosenthal, Enid Bissett, and William Rosenthal in New Jersey. The brand revolutionized women’s undergarments by introducing bras that emphasized natural curves, moving away from the flat-chested style popular at the time. This innovation quickly gained popularity, and Maidenform became a leading lingerie brand in the U.S.

Throughout the 20th century, Maidenform expanded its product line and became known for its iconic 'I Dreamed' advertising campaign in the 1950s and 1960s. The brand continued to innovate with new designs, materials, and shapewear. In 2013, Maidenform was acquired by HanesBrands, ensuring its continued presence in the lingerie market. Today, it remains a well-known name in intimate apparel, recognized for its quality and fit.
