History of Briogeo
Briogeo is a clean haircare brand founded in 2013 by Nancy Twine. Inspired by her grandmother’s homemade beauty recipes and her own passion for natural ingredients, Twine left her Wall Street career to create a brand that combined clean, plant-based formulas with high performance. Briogeo quickly gained popularity for its sulfate-free, silicone-free, and cruelty-free products, catering to diverse hair types and concerns.
The brand’s signature “6-Free” formula, which avoids harsh sulfates, silicones, parabens, phthalates, DEA, and artificial dyes, set it apart in the beauty industry. Bestsellers like the Don't Despair, Repair! deep conditioning mask and Scalp Revival exfoliating shampoo gained a loyal following. In 2022, Briogeo was acquired by Wella Company, marking a significant milestone in its growth while maintaining its commitment to clean and inclusive haircare.
