History of Apple Watch
The Apple Watch, first introduced by Apple Inc. in April 2015, marked the company’s entry into the
wearable technology market. Designed as a smartwatch that blends health, fitness, and connectivity,
it quickly became a popular accessory for iPhone users. The original Apple Watch focused on
notifications, fitness tracking, and apps, offering customizable watch faces and interchangeable
bands. Over time, Apple continued to refine its design, performance, and features based on user
feedback and evolving technology.
With each new version, Apple enhanced the Watch's
capabilities. The Apple Watch Series 2, launched in 2016, introduced built-in GPS and water
resistance, making it more appealing to athletes and swimmers. Series 3 brought cellular
connectivity, allowing users to make calls and stream music without needing their iPhone nearby.
Later versions added advanced health features like ECG monitoring, fall detection, and blood oxygen
sensing. The Apple Watch has since become a powerful health companion, playing a significant role in
personal wellness, emergency alerts, and even medical research.
