History of Red Bull
Red Bull was created in the 1980s by Austrian entrepreneur Dietrich Mateschitz, who discovered a Thai energy drink called Krating Daeng during a trip to Thailand. Recognizing its potential, he partnered with the drink’s creator, Chaleo Yoovidhya, to develop a new formula tailored for Western markets. In 1987, they launched Red Bull in Austria, marketing it as an energy-boosting beverage designed to enhance performance and concentration.
With an aggressive marketing strategy focused on extreme sports, youth culture, and the slogan 'Red Bull gives you wings,' the brand quickly expanded globally. Red Bull revolutionized the beverage industry by creating the modern energy drink category. Today, it remains a market leader, sponsoring athletes, extreme sports events, and even its own Formula 1 racing team, Red Bull Racing.
