History of LG

LG Corporation, originally established as Lucky-Goldstar in 1947 in South Korea, started as a chemical and electronics company. It was founded by Koo In-hwoi and initially focused on producing consumer goods like face creams and hygiene products. In 1958, the company expanded into the electronics industry, launching South Korea’s first radio. Over the years, Lucky-Goldstar diversified into household appliances, telecommunications, and petrochemicals, solidifying its place as a leading industrial conglomerate.

In 1995, the company rebranded as LG to reflect its global ambitions. LG became a pioneer in digital and mobile technologies, introducing innovations in televisions, smartphones, and home appliances. The brand gained worldwide recognition for its high-quality OLED displays and smart home solutions. Today, LG operates in various industries, including electronics, chemicals, and telecommunications, maintaining a strong presence in international markets.
