History of Asus

ASUS, officially known as ASUSTeK Computer Inc., is a Taiwanese multinational company that specializes in computer hardware and consumer electronics. It was founded in 1989 by four former Acer engineers—T.H. Tung, Ted Hsu, Wayne Hsieh, and M.T. Liao—in Taipei, Taiwan. The company initially focused on producing motherboards, quickly gaining a reputation for high-quality and reliable components. By the mid-1990s, ASUS had become a leading supplier of motherboards for major brands like Intel, Dell, and HP.

Over the years, ASUS expanded its product lineup to include laptops, desktops, graphics cards, monitors, networking equipment, and gaming peripherals. The introduction of the Eee PC in 2007 played a key role in popularizing netbooks, while the Republic of Gamers (ROG) brand, launched in 2006, established ASUS as a major player in the gaming industry. Today, ASUS is one of the world’s largest PC manufacturers, known for innovation, high-performance products, and a strong presence in both consumer and enterprise markets.
