History of SolarEdge
SolarEdge Technologies, founded in 2006 by Guy Sella, Lior Handelsman, Meir Adest, Yoav Galin, and
Amir Fishelov, is an Israeli company specializing in smart energy solutions. The company's primary
innovation is its photovoltaic (PV) solar inverter system, which maximizes power generation at the
individual module level while lowering the cost of energy produced by the solar PV system. This
technology has set a new standard in the solar industry, allowing SolarEdge to rapidly expand its
market presence globally. By 2015, SolarEdge went public on the NASDAQ stock exchange, further
solidifying its position as a key player in the renewable energy sector.
Zvi Lando, who
joined
SolarEdge in 2009, has played a crucial role in the company's growth and success. Initially serving
as Vice President of Global Sales, Lando's effective strategies and leadership significantly
contributed to the company's expansive market reach. In 2020, he was appointed CEO, following the
passing of co-founder and former CEO Guy Sella. Under Lando's leadership, SolarEdge has continued to
innovate and expand its product offerings, including energy storage solutions and smart energy
management systems, maintaining its reputation as a leading provider of renewable energy technology.
