History of Flash
Flash is a cleaning brand owned by Procter & Gamble (P&G) first introduced in the 1950s. It was
launched in the United Kingdom and several European countries as an all-purpose cleaner designed to
tackle household dirt and grease effectively. Over the years, Flash became known for its
versatility, being suitable for cleaning floors, kitchens, bathrooms, and other surfaces which
helped it gain a loyal customer base.
In the 1990s and 2000s, Flash expanded its product range
beyond liquid cleaners to include sprays, wipes, and specialist cleaning solutions for different
surfaces. P&G also marketed Flash under different names in various regions, for example in the
United States similar products were sold under the 'Mr. Clean' brand. The brand has maintained a
strong reputation for combining cleaning power with pleasant scents, keeping it relevant in the
competitive household cleaning market.
Today, Flash continues to be a well-recognized cleaning
solution in Europe, regularly updating its formulas and packaging to meet consumer preferences and
environmental standards. Its long-standing presence reflects P&G’s strategy of adapting trusted
brands to evolving cleaning needs while maintaining their core promise of fast and effective
results.
