History of Xiaomi

Xiaomi was founded in 2010 by Lei Jun and a group of engineers with the vision of creating high-quality, affordable technology. The company initially focused on software, developing MIUI, a custom Android-based operating system. In 2011, Xiaomi launched its first smartphone, the Mi 1, which offered premium features at a lower price than competitors. This strategy quickly gained popularity in China, allowing Xiaomi to expand its product lineup and customer base.

By 2014, Xiaomi had become the top smartphone brand in China and began expanding globally into markets such as India, Southeast Asia, and Europe. The company diversified its product portfolio, introducing smart home devices, wearables, and other electronics. Xiaomi's direct-to-consumer online sales model and ecosystem of affordable yet high-quality products helped it grow rapidly. Today, Xiaomi is one of the world’s leading smartphone manufacturers and a key player in the tech industry, competing with brands like Apple and Samsung.
