History of iZotope
iZotope is an audio technology company founded in 2001 by Mark Ethier and a team of MIT graduates. The company specializes in developing innovative software and plugins for music production, mixing, mastering, and audio restoration. iZotope gained recognition with its early products like Ozone, a powerful mastering suite, and RX, an industry-standard tool for audio repair and noise reduction. Over the years, the company has expanded its product lineup, incorporating AI-driven features and machine learning to streamline audio workflows for musicians, producers, and engineers.
In 2021, iZotope merged with Native Instruments, a leading music technology company, under the umbrella of Soundwide, alongside Plugin Alliance and Brainworx. This collaboration aimed to enhance the integration of cutting-edge audio tools across different platforms. iZotope continues to push the boundaries of audio processing with its advanced DSP (digital signal processing) algorithms, making it a go-to brand for professionals in film, broadcast, and music production.
