History of Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A was founded in 1946 by Truett Cathy in Hapeville, Georgia, as a small diner called the Dwarf Grill (later renamed the Dwarf House). Cathy developed the restaurant’s signature chicken sandwich in 1964, which led to the creation of Chick-fil-A as a brand. The first official Chick-fil-A restaurant opened in 1967 inside the Greenbriar Mall in Atlanta, pioneering the concept of fast-food restaurants in shopping malls.

The company quickly expanded across the U.S., maintaining its focus on high-quality chicken products and strong customer service. Chick-fil-A is known for its Christian values, including its policy of closing on Sundays. Over the years, it has grown into one of the largest fast-food chains in America, with thousands of locations nationwide.
