History of Conagra

Conagra Brands, founded in 1919 by Frank Little and Alva Kinney as Nebraska Consolidated Mills (NCM), originally focused on milling grain. In 1971, the company changed its name to ConAgra, symbolizing its growth into a diverse food products company. Over the decades, Conagra expanded through a series of acquisitions, including major brands like Hunt's, Healthy Choice, and Orville Redenbacher’s. This helped the company grow into one of the largest food manufacturers in the United States, offering a wide range of packaged foods and consumer products.

In 2016, ConAgra underwent a significant rebranding, shortening its name to Conagra Brands, reflecting its shift toward consumer-driven, branded food products. The company streamlined its portfolio, focusing on iconic brands in the frozen, snacks, and grocery sectors. Today, Conagra continues to be a leading player in the food industry, with a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and delivering trusted brands to millions of households worldwide.
